Engineering biology: call for evidence

The Department for Science Innovation and Technology is currently seeking evidence and views from the Engineering Biology Research and Business Community to inform their upcoming “Engineering Biology Action Plan” and the development of policy to support the Engineering Biology Ecosystem.

The questions seek input on things like the strengths of the UK Engineering Biology sector, the key opportunities and the challenges that must be overcome. They are also looking to hear about people’s experiences on topics such as attracting talent, navigating regulation, and scaling up technologies in the engineering biology space, and we believe that many of our network members will have useful input on these topics. We would strongly encourage as many of you as possible to respond. It is a great opportunity to have impact on policy, and you only need to address the questions you feel are relevant to you.

The call for evidence is open until 29th September 2023 and responses are submitted using an online form. If you have any questions about how to respond or would like support on the process you can contact our Policy Fellow Joanna Sparks at j.sparks@aston.ac.uk
