HVB Workshop

High Value Biorenewable Products for Industry

Park Inn Radisson Hotel, York

Please note that registration is open for this workshop, but due to the uncertainty related to the COVID-19 outbreak, this event has been postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date. We advise to book travel nearer the time of the event. Travel costs do remain the responsibility of the participant and appropriate insurance should be in place if necessary.

This workshop aims to explore industrial demand for new and replacement products and processes to enable more sustainable manufacturing as the UK progresses towards carbon neutrality.

Organised across different product sectors, our aim is to identify industrial challenges, present emerging research and develop future Network activities to support key findings. We have invited participants from a wide range of industries to contribute to challenges and will be focussing on high value products such as bioactives, flavours and fragrances (including natural sweeteners and pigments), biosurfactants and oleochemicals.

The event is suitable for all network members, and will be an ideal opportunity to co-design projects suitable for funding from HVB’s Flexible Fund. A proof of concept call will invite projects emerging from this workshop. Individual projects can be up to £50,000 in value and we hope to fund up to four projects.

The workshop format will be a series of short talks, discussion and networking. The workshop is free for HVB members: accommodation and meals including a networking dinner are provided.

We will allocate workshop places on application, so please register early.

Please complete the online registration form to book a place for this event. If you would like to offer a talk, please submit a short abstract on the application form and indicate whether you wish to speak for 20 minutes or to provide a short flash presentation.

Please read the workshop's Terms and Conditions before applying.
