HVB Network Meeting

Park Inn Radisson Hotel, York, 20-21 October 2020

Please note that this meeting replaces the previously advertised June 2020 workshop and the HVB 2020 Annual Meeting.  We will combine the workshop content focussed on high value biorenewable products for industry with some elements of our Annual Meeting showcase, to offer an informative and interactive network meeting.

The meeting's format will be a series of short talks, discussion and networking. This is a residential event and is free to attend for HVB members: accommodation and meals including a networking dinner will be provided.

This meeting will aim to explore industrial demand for new and replacement products and processes to enable more sustainable manufacturing as the UK progresses towards carbon neutrality. Our aim is to identify industrial challenges, present emerging research and develop future HVB activities to support key findings and we will be focussing on high value products such as bioactives, flavours and fragrances (including natural sweeteners and pigments), biosurfactants and oleochemicals.

Please complete the online registration form to book a place for this event. If you would like to offer a talk, please submit a short abstract on the application form and indicate whether you wish to speak for 20 minutes or to provide a short flash presentation.

We will allocate places on a first-come-first-served basis, so please register early. If all the places are filled, we will operate a waiting list.

Please read the event's Terms and Conditions before applying. For further information, please email

Please note, if we are unable to hold the meeting due to new or ongoing restrictions, we will run the meeting as a virtual conference.

Therefore, we advise participants to book travel nearer the time of the event as we continue to assess the UK's situation during the Coronavirus pandemic.
