HVB Annual Meeting
Registration is now open for our 2024 Annual Meeting which will be held at the Guildhall in York on 17-18 September. Featuring flash talks from the network, future directions for high value biorenewable development, a showcase of HVB funded projects and industry insights, this event will provide plenty of opportunities to catch up with colleagues, meet new collaborators and spark ideas for future innovations.
The event will include a drinks reception and networking dinner, featuring an after dinner talk from Owen Trotter, founder and managing Partner of Key Capital Partners - a market leading Private Equity firm. As a self-confessed scientific illiterate Owen will talk about his experiences (good and bad) of technology investing and the lessons this provides for scientists seeking venture capital funding.
This year we will be offering a limited number of flash talks of less than 5 minutes, as well as 12 minute talks on a subject relating to the future of high value biorenewable development. We also invite members from industry to give a 12 minute talk on a collaborative project with academia. Acceptance of offered talks will be confirmed by 31st July.
As the Guildhall does not have accommodation, rooms will be provided at nearby hotels if required, subject to availability.
Places are limited, with a Deadline to register by: 22nd July. Please note, we may close registration at an earlier date, if all available places have been booked.
