Sustainable production of fluorinated products in bacteria

Sustainable production of fluorinated products in bacteria is the focus of a new EU Project which seeks to engineer Pseudomonas putida as a cell factory to make fluorinated polymers. The goal is to develop a product more cheaply than is possible by traditional chemistry, while reducing harm to the environment.
